H&M and Millennium

One (or three) of my favorite books are Stieg Larsson's Millennium Triology. Although every book has around 600 pages, I still remember my excitement when I red first part in just 2 days. Book I have read before wasn't boring at all and had 100 pages, but I needed at least one month to read it, so that proves how delighted I was when I read the first part called The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo. First I read it in English, so I have all tree books in English, but when it was translated in my language, Croatian, I also bought all three book in my language. Than there was Swedish movie (3 parts of course), and I watched them all and now Americans are shooting their version, so I can't wait to see it. One of the main female caracters is Lisbeth Salander, skinny girl, always in black and covered with tattoos and piercings. She has suffered from every type of abuse imaginable, is aggressive, unforgiving and cares very little about how she looks. And why am I talking about that?
Well, that caracter inspired a must-buy collection for the chain H&M, all under Trish Summerville's direction. Summerville is the costume designer for the English language film adaptation of the novels starring Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara.
Her 30-piece collection for H&M has all the ominous urban feel that defines anti-heroine Lisbeth's character - but it is also surprisingly wearable and of its time.
Leather and dark denim features heavily. Jackets, skinny trousers and slouchy hoodies also all come in industrial shades of black, grey, worn white or dark red.
Boots finish off the style, whether they be high-top trainers, an urban platform wedge, or some pre-worn leather boots.

The collection will debut exclusively at the boutique Colette in Paris on November 28, with its own dedicated in-store area. It will also be available from December 14 in Divided departments in around 180 H&M stores worldwide, as well as online.

A zašto govorim o njoj?

And yes, you should read these books if you already haven't done that. (and sorry for my bad English)

These were all shows at Cro-a-porter. I wasn't too much impressed with it, even with those who are otherwise excellent, but in almost every collection I'd found a piece that I would put on myself. All collections are a little to dark, and all a little too reminiscent of the world's top designers. But I am not an expert, so this is my personal opinion.
I wanted to write you few words about every designer, but I don't have time to surf the internet whole day and I think that today in the era of internet everybody should have their own web page.
